Semen Analysis Services & Fee Schedules

$ 700.00

This exam, typically conducted at the start of the breeding season, for pre-purchase purposes or
to identify stallion reproductive issues, involves a comprehensive evaluation of the reproductive
system. This includes palpation and ultrasound examination of the testicles and associated
glands, semen collection, assessment of kinetics (CASA), morphology and sperm viability
analysis, as well as microbiological examination of the penis and semen.

$600.00

This test is conducted to identify the optimal freezing protocol and media for your stallion. The
semen straws are frozen using various commercial methods and assessed for kinetics (CASA),
morphology, and sperm viability after thawing. The collected data is meticulously analyzed to
determine the most effective freezing protocol specifically tailored for your stallion’s needs.

$400.00

This test aims to identify the optimal protocol and methods for enhancing the longevity of your
stallion’s chilled semen. Various processing techniques and commercial means are utilized, and
the semen is analyzed for kinetics (CASA), morphology, and sperm viability before and after 24 hours of refrigeration. The collected data is meticulously analyzed to determine the most effective semen cooling protocol specifically tailored for your stallion’s needs.

$ 550.00 / Per Ejaculate

Freezing semen has long been recognized as the most effective method for preserving a stallion’s
genetic material. At GeneTech, all semen undergoes detailed evaluation using state-of-the-art
techniques and equipment. Each batch of frozen semen is accompanied by a comprehensive
report that ensures its quality and provides recommendations for its use. This rigorous approach
guarantees the highest standards and reliability of our frozen semen.

This specific analysis process is completed utilizing computerized equipment known as CASA
(Computer-Assisted Sperm Analysis), which enables the laboratory to assess the motility of
spermatozoa as well as their different velocities or speeds. Through CASA, precise and detailed
evaluations of sperm movement and characteristics can be obtained, providing valuable insights
into the reproductive health and potential of a stallion.

$ 100.00

Sperm morphology analysis is a process that can identify morphological changes in spermatozoa,
which may be associated with fertility issues in stallions. Through the use of DIC (Differential
Interference Contrast) microscopy the structural characteristics of sperm cells are examined,
which allows for the detection and assessment of any abnormalities that could impact the
stallion’s fertility. The findings from the morphology analysis provide valuable information for
diagnosing and addressing potential fertility problems.

$ 50.00

Sperm viability analysis, a crucial parameter for semen fertility assessment, is conducted in using
a Nucleocounter. This instrument accurately measures sperm viability by evaluating the integrity
and functionality of sperm cells. The analysis provides valuable insights into the reproductive
potential and quality of the semen sample.

$ 250.00

Integrity analysis involves assessing lesions on the membrane and throughout the spermatozoa,
which is a crucial procedure to evaluate the fertilization potential of semen. In this laboratory, a
Flow Cytometer is utilized to conduct the integrity analysis. This specialized equipment enables
accurate examination and assessment of sperm membrane integrity, providing valuable
information about the viability and fertilization capability of the semen sample

$ 450.00

Fertilization and early embryonic development depend on the integrity of sperm DNA. High rates
of DNA fragmentation can compromise these processes. Therefore, evaluating sperm DNA
fragmentation is crucial in determining the fertilization potential of semen. Utilizing flow
cytometry to perform the analysis provides valuable insights into the quality and reproductive
capacity of the semen sample.

$ 200.00

Additional seminal analysis services utilizing flow cytometry are available by request. All analyses
are standardized and conducted in accordance with the latest scientific studies. Please contact
us to learn more.

○ $75.00/Month (1-100 Doses)
○ $120.00/Month (101-200 Doses)
○ $180.00/Month (201-300 Doses)
○ $0.50/Dose/Month (Over 300 Doses)
○ GeneTech offers a state-of-the-art storage facility for frozen semen. Our facility is located within
a climate controlled, storm-safe shelter, ensuring maximum safety and protection. Stored semen
is monitored 24-hours a day through electronic sensors located inside the cylinders. This
advanced system guarantees the safety and quality of the stored semen in our laboratory.

○ $100.00/Collection
○ To ensure the best quality semen for freezing and analysis, it is important that the stallion be
collected at least three times on alternate days to eliminate any stored semen in the stallion and
ensure the highest possible semen quality for processing.

GeneTech Stallion-1 Care
