Oocyte Maturation

Oocyte Maturation

In vitro maturation is a laboratory technique that allows immature oocytes, recovered by follicular aspiration, to mature outside the mare’s body. This process involves retrieving these immature oocytes from the ovaries and placing them in a specialized culture medium that supports their growth and development. Over a specific period, the oocytes progress through the final stages of maturation until they reach the matured stage, necessary for fertilization. After the maturation period, the oocytes are analyzed and prepared for the Intracytoplasmic Sperm Injection (ICSI) in our Laboratory.  Each phase of the process is meticulously executed by highly trained embryologists. Their extensive experience ensures precision, contributing to the optimal development and potential success of the in vitro procedures.
