Bethani is an Oklahoma native with a creative background and a strong connection to agriculture, growing up on her family's ranch. She earned a Bachelor’s in Communication from Southeastern Oklahoma State University, which laid the foundation for her passion in marketing. Her expertise is rooted in storytelling and strategy, blending creativity with purpose to help brands communicate clearly and authentically. At GeneTech, Bethani brings many years of experience in animal services and marketing, with strengths in content creation, public relations, journalism, photography, and digital strategy. She’s inspired by opportunities to help brands grow, creating work that matters and tells a story worth sharing. Bethani values time spent with loved ones, a good adventure, and small moments that spark big ideas—fueling the creativity she brings to every project.

Dana Case

CFO

Dana brings to Genetech a diversified set of experiences and qualifications which lends well with the day to day operations. She has worked extensively in the equine industry and has participated in showing in several different disciplines. She gained valuable experience working for the Texas A&M University College of Veterinary Medicine Large Animal Hospital as an Equine Medicine and ultrasound technician, as well as working for numerous top veterinarians in the industry and for one of the largest animal compounding pharmacies in the U.S. Dana served as an ambassador to China on behalf of Xtra Quarter Horses and works closely with clients from many different countries to assist in fulfilling Genetech’s international endeavors. She also has various business and accounting certifications that prove valuable in her everyday tasks at Genetech as the CFO. She is extremely dedicated to her position and goes above and beyond daily to assure the success of Genetech Animal Reproduction.

Jen Hovelson

Director of Human Resources

Jen Hovelson is the Director of Human Resources at Genetech Animal Reproduction, where she plays a vital role in driving organizational success through strategic people management and operational excellence. Holding a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources and Business Management, she specializes in aligning talent strategy with organizational growth in the biotechnology sector, bringing a strong attention to detail to workforce planning, compliance, employee development, and process improvement. In her role, Jen oversees a broad range of responsibilities including policy development, employee benefits, and organizational planning, while also contributing to billing oversight and contract administration. She is known for her ability to implement structured, efficient systems that support both employees and leadership, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and scalability across all operations. A proud veteran of the United States Air Force, Jen applies the leadership, discipline, integrity, and precision gained from military service to foster a high-performing, accountable culture at Genetech. Her military background has shaped her ability to lead with clarity, resilience, and a strong sense of responsibility, making her a trusted resource within the organization. Jen is particularly passionate about creating a positive and productive work environment where employees feel supported, engaged, and empowered to succeed. She takes pride in building strong relationships across all levels of the organization and serving as a steady, solutions-oriented leader during periods of growth and change. Beyond the office, Jen is an outdoor enthusiast who enjoys traveling to new destinations, kayaking, and fishing. Above all, she stays busy and inspired by her four daughters, who continue to influence her drive, perspective, and commitment to excellence both personally and professionally.

Flavio Ribeiro

Director of Sales and Business Development

Dr. Flavio Ribeiro is originally from Brazil and moved to the US to go to graduate school. Dr. Ribeiro has a MS in Animal Science from Iowa State University and a Ph.D in Animal Science from Texas A&M University. He spent 10 years after finishing his Ph.D as a faculty member and scientist teaching and doing research. Dr. Ribeiro then took a job working for a private Feed Additive company where he spent 4 years and was the Director for the US business for the company. In May 2023 Dr. Ribeiro started his own consulting business and in the Summer of 2023 he joined the GeneTech team as the Director of Marketing. He is responsible for the international business of GeneTech and also working with expanding the Domestic business in the US. In his free time Flavio enjoys riding horses and showing in Tie Down roping at AQHA shows. He is also known for his Brazilian BBQ skills and teaches a class at Texas A&M University every Fall and does a few cookouts around the country.

Meredith Webster

Director of Office Administration

Meredith brings over 12 years of experience in the equine industry, along with a deep appreciation for the hard work and heart that drive it. Originally from West Texas, she made the move to Purcell in 2012 and quickly found her place within the local equine community. Her strong organizational skills and attention to detail help keep daily operations running seamlessly behind the scenes. Meredith thrives in the fast-paced nature of the industry and genuinely enjoys the chaos that comes with it. She embraces the long days and the unexpected challenges it takes to make everything come together. Outside of work, Meredith’s greatest joy is raising her son. She happily spends her free time doing whatever he chooses next, making memories every step of the way.

Gary Fouts

DVM Staff Veterinarian

Dr. Fouts completed the pre-veterinary program at Purdue University in Lafayette, Indiana. After just two years of undergraduate studies, he was accepted into Purdue’s School of Veterinary Medicine. He graduated from veterinary school in 2002, developing a love for horses during his time there, which led him to focus his career on equine medicine. After four years of working at a large animal practice, Dr. Fouts and a partner opened an all-equine veterinary clinic. Since 2013, he has established two additional equine veterinary clinics focusing on equine reproduction, located in Indiana and Idaho. He takes great pride in the results of his work in equine reproduction and can often be found sleeping in the barn during foaling season, caring for the foals. Dr. Fouts has devoted both his professional and personal life to horses. He breeds and raises Quarter Horse racehorses and has served on the Board for the Quarter Horse Racing Association of Indiana. He, along with his Angela and their seven children, enjoy trail riding, competing, and raising Quarter Horses. His latest pride and joy is Augustus, his john mule.

Geovanna Peter

John Shrewsbury

DVM Staff Veterinarian

Dr. John Shrewsbury is originally from Bardstown, Kentucky, in the heart of the horse capital of the world. He earned his Bachelor's degree from Bellarmine University before pursuing his veterinary degree at Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in St. Kitts & Nevis. He completed his clinical year at the University of Florida and graduated in September 2024. Dr. Shrewsbury’s passion for the equine industry is deeply rooted in both personal and professional experience. Growing up around the Thoroughbred racing industry, his family’s racing barn has owned multiple graded stakes winners, including two Kentucky Derby participants. Horses have had a profound impact on his life, and he is driven to give back to an industry that has shaped him. Prior to and throughout veterinary school, Dr. Shrewsbury gained diverse hands-on experience. He worked as a trail riding guide in the Smoky Mountains of East Tennessee, served as a groomer and exercise rider at a steeplechase barn in Pennsylvania, and held licensure as an equine specialist in trauma-focused equine-assisted psychotherapy. He also spent two years in mixed animal practice at Central Kentucky Animal Clinic and completed an internship at Ocala Equine Hospital in Ocala, Florida.Outside of work, Dr. Shrewsbury enjoys spending time outdoors hunting, fishing, hiking, and exploring with his dog, Pablo.

Tina Wilson

Tina holds a Bachelor of Science in Education from the University of Oklahoma. She also spent several years working as a flight attendant with Delta Air Lines, where she developed a natural talent for connecting with people and creating welcoming experiences. Originally from Dallas, Texas, Tina’s love for horses began at just five years old when she started showing Morgan horses. That early passion sparked a lifelong appreciation for the equine world and the community that surrounds it. Over the years, Tina has lived in 11 states, chasing both her dreams and following her children in all of their endeavors. At the office, Tina is often described as the welcoming face and the heart of the front desk. She keeps everything running smoothly while making clients feel right at home from the moment they walk through the door. Outside of work, Tina enjoys traveling, working out, tending to her plants, and spending quality time with her family and friends.
